I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor (Adv. Dip. Integrative Counselling, 2009), and am committed to a therapeutic approach that places my clients and their needs first. It is my job to create an environment of empathy, non-judgement and honesty in which my clients and I can look at their difficulties in a place that is safe enough to do so.

My Integrative training means that I have a broad range of theoretical perspectives and practical counselling skills to offer my clients, in order to tailor the work as closely as possible to their needs.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Physiotherapists.

What is counselling?

What is counselling?

Counselling is an opportunity to talk (in confidence) with a trained professional about your life, thoughts and feelings. The counsellor’s role is not to judge or advise but to guide and support you in an exploration of your own experiences.

Whether you come to counselling for help with the emotional wear and tear of everyday life or because of profound distress, the counsellor’s work is the same. It is to offer empathy, compassion and hope as you work together to transform your difficulties into understanding and positive change.

How often might I come?

Usually counselling sessions are weekly and last around an hour. Typically clients attend counselling for between six to twelve weeks, however each client’s needs are different and many people find they need longer term therapeutic support.
